My Story

My health and fitness journey began when I was playing lacrosse in high school. I always struggled with body image and the thought that I was “too skinny.” However, anytime I was playing lacrosse or working towards my next goal in lacrosse, those thoughts never entered my head. Even though I didn’t understand exercise science at the time, I would always do extra workouts or running aside from practice just to show myself that I can always get better. I decided to pursue my Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science while playing division II lacrosse. I was eager to learn about all the components that go into fitness and health, while seeing the adaptions happen in myself. Having the opportunity to work with a lifting coach and apply my knowledge outside the classroom helped build my confidence immensely. This was a turning point in my training and I saw myself excel on and off the field. I became confident in myself as a player, a student, a leader, and a person in a way I never thought I would. I adopted the mentality that I can succeed at anything I set my mind to and work hard for because I saw myself achieving what I wanted. My fitness journey has become a lifestyle and my confidence has helped lead me to be the best version of myself.

After finishing my undergraduate program, I became a certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I became a Personal Trainer to help people achieve their own goals and find their confidence, however that may look like for them. Whether it’s losing weight, gaining weight, excelling in sports, or recovering from an injury, I want to help people achieve their goals and show them that their body is built to be strong and resilient. Currently, I am working towards my Master’s degree in Athletic Training at California Baptist University. I want to become a certified Athletic Trainer and help athletes with injury prevention, rehabilitation, and returning to their sport.
